We use only natural colors in every product we produce and only when necessary. Some of these include clays, annato, titanium dioxide and mica. These natural colors have been proven safe unlike many artificial colors that have been banned by the FDA over the years.

Since our products are made from only natural ingredients, we intentionally design our packaging so that you will use them up before they expire. All of our products containers have been developed with re-use in mind, like our easy-to-recycle glass jars or plastic bottles. We do not use nasty artificial preservatives like Methyl Paraben or Diazolidinyl Urea. Our products contain only gentle, natural preservatives that both inhibit the growth of microorganisms and enhance product stability.

All products made by Gourmet Body Treats are tested on willing human participants, animals are never used at any stage of research, development or production.  All products manufactured by us are vegam, i.e. free from any ingredient derived from whole animals or animal parts. Our definition of animals include all forms of living creatures that are part of the animal kingdom, such as insects, bacteria, algae, etc. For instance, ingredients such as carmine or ectoin are not acceptable ingredients for use in our products as they require the destruction of these living organisms in order to fulfill a cosmetic function.  We are certified with the CCIC, and have committed to the CCIC Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals which provides the best assurance that no animal testing is used in any phase of product development by us, our laboratories or suppliers.  All of our products are vegan, no milk, beeswax or anything else that comes from animals.
